BJP leader demanded to open 20 rooms closed for years and get them investigated, hearing on Tuesday
A petition has been filed in the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court. In this, a demand has been made to direct the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to open 20 rooms inside the Taj Mahal in Agra. So that it can be ascertained whether there are Hindu sculptures and inscriptions or not. This petition has been filed on behalf of BJP's Ayodhya district media in-charge Dr. Rajneesh Singh. The petition will be heard on Tuesday, May 10.
Demand to set up fact finding committee
Describing the Taj Mahal as Tejo Mahalaya, the petition has sought a direction to the government to constitute a fact-finding committee. It said that a survey of the Taj Mahal complex is necessary, so that the reality of the existence of a Shiva temple and the Taj Mahal can be ascertained. The committee should examine these rooms, so that the situation can be clarified whether there is evidence related to Hindu idols or scriptures or not.
Some historians have also been cited in the petition. The petition said that the Taj Mahal has 20 rooms in the upper and lower part of the four-storey building, which are permanently closed. PN Oak and many historians believe that there is a temple of Shiva in those rooms. Although whether these rooms have ever been open before or not. There is currently no information about this.
Jagatguru Paramhansacharya was adamant on Shiva worship
Hinduist organizations have been claiming the Taj Mahal to be Tejo Mahal for a long time. Attempts have also been made by many Hinduist organizations to perform Shiva Aarti at the Taj Mahal in Sawan. In the past, Jagatguru Paramhansacharya had also insisted on worshiping Shiva inside, claiming the Taj Mahal to be Tejomahal.
There was also a lot of controversy regarding his admission. The police had stopped them from entering the Taj Mahal. He was kept under house arrest at the guest house in Keetham. He was later sent back to Ayodhya in police custody. After this Jagatguru had talked about going to the Supreme Court in this matter.
